HEALTHY HIGHLIGHTS
As a school community we have lots of happy things to report:
1. The fact that our teachers and entire faculty could SOON be offered a vaccine against Covid
2.The fact that our middle school students will be joining us one more day a week on Wednesdays
3. The fact that the number of cases of Covid-19 in Maine seems to be declining
4. That we have only had to miss a very small amount of school this year due to Covid.
With all that said, please note we are NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET. Nothing has changed at school. You should still be doing your health checks every single day before sending your student to school. If they have any of the symptoms of a cough, runny nose, sore throat, headache, they should remain at home, NOT COME TO SCHOOL. We all still need to wear a clean mask that covers the nose and mouth, and we must keep a social distance of 3 feet at all times, even on the playground. I know it has been a long haul for everyone, but we cannot let our guard down now. I see areas of slippage and want to remind everyone that we want everyone to stay healthy and the best way we know how to do that is to follow the above guidelines. Thank You, Nurse Sherwood
