Good morning Class of 2024, family and friends,
Due to weather conditions this afternoon, we will be having an indoor graduation at Morse High School. While we know this is not ideal due to spacing constraints, we are going to have a beautiful graduation to celebrate this wonderful class. Please read below for important information about our indoor graduation ceremony.
Tickets: Due to spacing constraints, no guests will be allowed in the gym without a ticket. Tickets were given to the graduates on Friday, June 7. While we know this is not ideal, there are no exceptions due to the fact that we physically cannot hold more guests. There is extra seating that DOES NOT REQUIRE TICKETS in the theater. All are welcome to theater seating where the graduation will be livestreamed. This seating is first come, first served. If there are very young children who can sit on an adult's lap, they will be allowed in without a ticket. Doors to the gym open at 12:30 pm. No one will be allowed in the gym before that time. When you arrive at the gym, there will be seating on the bleachers and on the floor in chairs. Please use all available space and do not leave space or gaps between families.
Handicap Seating: There will be handicap-accessible seating available in the gym for guests with tickets. It will have a sign designating it as such. While in the past we had unlimited seating and were able to have all family members sit with their loved ones in that area, we are asking that only one family member accompany that individual who requires that seating. Thank you.
Parking: Handicap-accessible parking is available both in the front bus circle of the school and in the faculty parking area (in the front to the left if you are looking at the front of Morse High School). There will be a police officer helping to direct traffic. There will be golf carts available to help transport people who need this assistance from the parking lot to the school. There will also be limited parking in the student parking area (first come first serve) and additional parking at BMS and McMann Field. There will be a trolley for those who park off-site.
Livestream: The livestream (which will be shown in the theater) will also be available for any guests who are not able to make it to Morse High School today. The Morse graduation will be broadcasted via LiveStream on the Morse High School Facebook page and the Morse YouTube channel at: https://bit.ly/morseyoutube
Graduates: Members of the Class of 2024 should be at Morse by 1:00 pm and go directly to the Culinary Cafe. We will stay there until we are ready to line up in our marching order. When we line up, we will start at the door to the office outside of Mr. Bishop's office and head down the hall of the Science/English wing (100 wing). Remember, graduates cannot have cell phones in their hands and should either make sure they can be put in a pocket under graduation gowns or left with families or friends. Graduates will march in through the Morse Gym doors, through the gym to their seats. At the end of the ceremony, graduates can meet their families in the cafeteria eating area.
