One step at a time, the old Bath Tech building is being transformed into the new home of Dike Newell School!

Preparations continue on the new playground for Dike Newell School at 800 High Street!

Hard work continues on the Dike-Newell relocation! Contractors and staff have been busy this week cleaning out the old building and working on the necessary renovations and other changes needed for the building to be up and running by the end of August. Thank you to our wonderful community for your continued support!

Things are moving right along at the former Bath Tech facility where Dike-Newell School will be moving in this fall! Just this morning, our Facilities Crew relocated the school sign which will be a welcoming, familiar sight for students, staff, and families!

This week Bath Tech hosted a Summer bridge program for students entering 9th and 10th grade. Students were able to experience a different program each day for five days. This exciting summer experience will give students an opportunity to participate in career and technical experiences with a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) focus. Students participated in culinary arts, cosmetology, graphic design, welding, automotive, carpentry and electrical.

Bath Tech staff and students have been baking like crazy this week!! Almost 250 cookies were sent to Dike Newell and Fisher Mitchell teachers. More treats will be made for first responders as a thank you for all they have had to do this week. We can do this! We stand together in RSU 1!

Phippsburg Elementary School enjoyed the beautiful weather with some outside time. The kids participated in field day, navigating some challenging obstacles with their friends. Fun time for teachers and students!

This morning Fisher-Mitchell School welcomed our Dike-Newell community with open arms! We're off to a great start and are so thankful students & staff can be together for the last week of school despite our circumstances! A huge shout out to our Facilities Department who worked tirelessly getting these spaces put together and to all the staff members who have stepped up to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone involved!

Dike-Newell's Field Day!

Dike-Newell was thrilled last week to welcome the parade of graduates - Congratulations to MHS Class of '22!

FMS took Bingo to a whole new level. Owl pellet bingo was a great way for the students to learn with a hands on activity. They loved it!

8th grade students visit Morse for Step-up Day! Tours were given and activity fair.

Busy time of year at MHS. Yearbooks were distributed and students gathered under the tent in the courtyard for a signing party. Cotton candy and popcorn were on the menu! Also the Lunch Buddies program had their final lunch of the year. A cookout in the courtyard!

PES third graders learned about Pop Art and the artist Claes Oldenberg. Oldenberg is a sculptor who creates giant sculptures of food.

Here are some photos of our WCS 1st Graders doing Art class outside! The spring weather was so nice, we were able to do Art outside all of last week!

Recently, Dike-Newell School welcomed the Portland Stage Players to our school. They came to do some dramatic readings of several stories, and then did workshops with our second grade classes. What a fun day we had!
